Nothing’s CMF sub-brand has officially launched the CMF Phone 2 Pro in India as a successor to the CMF Phone 1, offering several upgrades aimed at enhancing user experience.
Priced competitively, the smartphone features a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset, a large AMOLED display, and a versatile triple rear camera system.
The CMF Phone 2 Pro is available in two storage options: an 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant priced at Rs. 18,999 and an 8GB RAM + 256GB storage version at Rs. 20,999.
The phone comes in four color finishes—Black, Light Green, Orange, and White—and will be available for purchase through Flipkart, CMF India’s website, and select retail partners.
In line with its predecessor, the CMF Phone 2 Pro supports a range of modular accessories, including a universal cover, interchangeable lenses, wallet, stand, lanyard, and card holder (sold separately).
Running on Android 15 with Nothing OS 3.2, the CMF Phone 2 Pro is backed by a promise of three years of major Android updates and six years of security patches.
Display and Performance Enhancements
The phone features a 6.77-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,080×2,392 pixels. It supports a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 3000 nits of peak brightness, a 480Hz touch sampling rate, and 2160Hz PWM dimming to reduce eye strain.
HDR10+ certification enhances the display’s contrast and color accuracy, while Panda Glass provides additional durability.
The performance is driven by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro SoC, coupled with 8GB of RAM. Users can expand the virtual RAM up to 16GB via the RAM Booster feature.
The processor delivers up to a 10% improvement in CPU speed and a 5% boost in graphics performance compared to the previous model. Additionally, the phone offers expandable storage of up to 2TB through a microSD card slot, catering to users with high multimedia demands.
Camera Capabilities
The CMF Phone 2 Pro comes equipped with a triple-camera setup at the rear, consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor with Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS), a 50-megapixel telephoto lens offering 2x optical zoom and 20x digital zoom, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a 119.5-degree field of view.
On the front, the 16-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.45 aperture is designed for high-quality self-portraits and video calls. The phone features Nothing’s TrueLens Engine 3.0, enhancing photography performance across various lighting conditions.
Connectivity and Additional Features
Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and a USB Type-C port. The device features an optical in-display fingerprint sensor for secure authentication. It is also rated with an IP54 certification for dust and splash resistance.
Additionally, the CMF Phone 2 Pro incorporates two microphones for improved audio recording quality. A dedicated Essential Key provides quick access to the Essential Space, allowing users to easily manage screenshots, voice notes, and photos.
Modular Accessory System
The CMF Phone 2 Pro introduces an updated modular accessory system, enhancing personalization and device customization. Unlike the CMF Phone 1, which featured removable backplates, the Phone 2 Pro uses a screw-on universal cover that serves as a base for various accessories.
The system includes attachable fisheye and macro lenses, a magnetized kickstand-wallet combo, and a bright orange lanyard, among others. This design improves the phone’s water resistance (IP54 rating) while offering additional customization options for users.
Essential Key and Essential Space for Productivity
Borrowed from the Nothing Phone 3a series, the CMF Phone 2 Pro includes the Essential Key, a hardware button that grants quick access to Essential Space.
This AI-powered hub helps users organize and retrieve screenshots, photos, and voice notes efficiently, enhancing productivity without complicating the user interface.
Battery and Charging
The CMF Phone 2 Pro is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery, supporting 33W fast wired charging and 5W reverse wired charging.
The battery is expected to deliver up to 47 hours of talk time or up to 22 hours of continuous YouTube streaming on a full charge. The phone’s retail package includes a charging adapter and a protective case, providing added value for buyers.
