OnePlus has officially introduced the OnePlus Watch 3, bringing several upgrades over its predecessor, the OnePlus Watch 2.

The new smartwatch features a 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED display, a premium titanium alloy build, and enhanced health tracking capabilities.

It runs on Wear OS 5 and offers a battery life of up to five days, making it a well-rounded option for those seeking a balance between performance and durability.

    Pricing and Availability

The OnePlus Watch 3 is priced at $329 (approximately Rs. 29,000) in the U.S.. Early buyers can avail of a $30 discount coupon, while those trading in older smartwatches can receive an additional $50 off.

The watch is available in Emerald Titanium and Obsidian Titanium color variants. Pre-orders have begun, with deliveries set to start on February 25.

    Design and Build Quality

The OnePlus Watch 3 features a 1.5-inch (460×460 pixels) LTPO AMOLED display with always-on functionality and a peak brightness of 2,200 nits.

It is protected by sapphire crystal glass and has a titanium alloy bezel, enhancing durability while maintaining a premium look.

The watch is MIL-STD-810H certified and carries an IP68 rating, offering resistance to dust and water up to 5 ATM, making it suitable for various outdoor conditions.

    Performance and Software

Powered by the Snapdragon W5 processor, the smartwatch also incorporates a BES2800BP MCU for improved efficiency.

This hybrid architecture helps in balancing performance and battery life. It comes with 32GB of onboard storage and runs on Google’s Wear OS 5, paired with a Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) for optimized always-on display and background activity.

    Health and Fitness Features

The OnePlus Watch 3 introduces expanded health-tracking capabilities, including sensors for wrist temperature, heart rate, and blood oxygen monitoring.

It provides comprehensive health insights, such as sleep tracking, vascular health analysis, and stress monitoring.

The OHealth app enables integration with Google Health Connect, Strava, and other fitness platforms. With support for over 100 sports modes, including 10 professional sports, the watch caters to a wide range of fitness enthusiasts.

    Improved Navigation with Rotating Crown

OnePlus has refined the user experience by introducing a functional rotating crown, allowing for smoother menu navigation. The addition of haptic feedback enhances usability, making interactions more intuitive.

    Battery Life and Charging

The OnePlus Watch 3 offers up to five days of battery life in standard mode, with an extended 16-day runtime in power-saving mode.

The smartwatch is equipped with a 631mAh battery, optimized with Wear OS 5 for better efficiency. Fast charging capabilities allow users to gain a full day’s battery in just 10 minutes, making it one of the faster-charging smartwatches available.

    GPS and Connectivity

For accurate location tracking, the OnePlus Watch 3 features a dual-band GPS system (L1+L5), along with Beidou, Galileo, GLONASS, and QZSS support.

The watch includes dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and Bluetooth calling. OnePlus has also integrated Google Wallet, enabling mobile payments directly from the watch.

The GPS system has been upgraded with a circular polarized antenna, designed to enhance accuracy, especially in urban environments.

    Additional Features

    • 60S Health Check-In: Provides a quick overview of heart rate, blood oxygen levels, wrist temperature, and vascular health in a single tap.
    • Snoring Detection: Sleep tracking now includes snoring pattern analysis to help users assess breathing disruptions.
    • Vascular Health Monitoring: Evaluates arterial stiffness, offering insights into long-term cardiovascular health.

    Pricing and Market Position

The OnePlus Watch 3 is priced at $329/£319, positioning it as a competitor to the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 and Google Pixel Watch 3.

The smartwatch does not feature a cellular variant, requiring a phone for connectivity. Additionally, it is available in only one size (47mm), which may not suit users preferring a more compact smartwatch.
