Gemini AI Takes Center Stage
Google previewed several AI features at I/O 2025, but the Pixel 10 series is expected to expand on them with real-time Camera Coach tips for angles and lighting.
Also a conversational photo editor that responds to natural language commands for tasks like object removal, background changes, or brightness adjustments.
These capabilities will be supported by the new Tensor G5 processor, promising improved performance, energy efficiency, and thermal control over last year’s Tensor G4.
Google has also suggested these features will be available at launch — a contrast to Apple’s phased rollout of Apple Intelligence.
Pixel 10 Lineup and Camera Upgrades
The standard Pixel 10 will receive its first dedicated telephoto lens, previously exclusive to Pro models. The Pixel 10, 10 Pro, and 10 Pro XL will keep the familiar design, with display sizes ranging from 6.3 inches to 6.8 inches.
Improvements are expected in battery capacity, charging speed, and video quality, with Qi2 wireless charging support enabling magnetic accessories. A “Pixelsnap” case with a built-in magnetic ring may launch alongside.
Pixel 10 Pro Fold
The 10 Pro Fold is rumored to feature a 6.4-inch cover display and 8-inch main screen, thinner bezels, and a reinforced hinge.
It may also become the first Google foldable with IP68 dust and water resistance. Camera upgrades could include a 48MP ultra-wide lens and 5x telephoto zoom, paired with Gemini AI tools and the G5 chip. Battery life is also expected to improve.
Wearables and Audio

The Pixel 10 launch will coincide with Android 16, which brings Material 3 Expressive UI, battery health tools, Gemini integration, and desktop-style multitasking.
A rumored “Pixel Sense” assistant could offer on-device AI that works across all Google apps, delivering predictive suggestions and deeper integration than current assistants.
Surveys suggest 47% of current Pixel owners plan to upgrade, with motivations including trade-in perks, early access to Gemini features, and store credits. Overall, about 75% of respondents are considering a Pixel 10 purchase, reflecting strong brand loyalty.
