    • Sustainability: Built with 100% recycled aluminum + recycled cobalt, gold, copper, tin, and rare earths. Plastic-free packaging.

Expected to launch alongside the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL, the device appears to combine next-generation hardware with AI-driven features, positioning it as a showcase for Google’s broader hardware strategy.

    Hardware and Performance

At its core, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is rumored to run on the Google Tensor G5 chipset paired with the Tensor M2 security coprocessor.

Fabricated by TSMC on a 3nm process, the Tensor G5 is said to bring improvements in performance, power efficiency, and AI processing.

Geekbench results point to single-core scores of 2,276 and multi-core scores of 6,173, thanks to a Cortex-X4 prime core at 3.78 GHz alongside multiple Cortex-A72x cores.

The device reportedly supports 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM with storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB UFS 4.0, offering faster data transfer and app launch speeds than previous Pixel devices.

    Design and Durability

Leaks suggest the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will be Google’s first foldable with an IP68 rating, offering full dust and water resistance. A redesigned, fully sealed hinge is expected to further improve durability, addressing a long-standing challenge in foldable design.

The device is said to weigh 258 grams and fold down to 155.2 × 76.3 × 10.8 mm, with color options including Moonstone and Jade.

    Displays

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold may feature a 6.4-inch OLED cover screen with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, HDR support, and up to 3,000 nits peak brightness.

Inside, an 8.0-inch OLED main display mirrors the same refresh rate and brightness, providing a tablet-like experience for multitasking and media consumption.

    Camera System

Google is expected to continue its focus on computational photography with a triple rear camera setup:

    • 48MP primary sensor
    • 10.5MP ultra-wide lens with a 127-degree field of view
    • 10.8MP telephoto lens with up to 10x optical zoom

On the front, a 10MP camera will support selfies and video calls. Video recording may include 4K at 60fps, HDR10+, and 240fps slow motion.

    Battery and Charging

Powering the device is a 5,015mAh battery with 30W wired charging and 15W Qi2 wireless charging. Support for PixelSnap magnetic accessories is also expected, aligning with Google’s broader accessory ecosystem.

    Connectivity and Audio

The foldable is set to include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, NFC, GPS, dual-SIM support, USB-C, stereo speakers, and multiple microphones, bringing it in line with other flagship smartphones.

    AI Integration

AI is central to the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. The device is expected to ship with Gemini Nano and Gemini Live, alongside tools such as Circle to Search and Call Assist.

These features are designed to embed AI more deeply into daily smartphone interactions, supporting Google’s broader vision of AI-first hardware.

    Software and Longevity

Out of the box, the foldable will run Android 16 and is expected to receive seven years of OS upgrades, security patches, and feature drops—one of the longest support windows in the Android ecosystem.

    Sustainability

Leaked documentation suggests the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is built with 100% recycled aluminum and incorporates recycled cobalt, gold, copper, tin, and rare earth elements. Packaging is expected to be plastic-free, reinforcing Google’s sustainability commitments.

    Market Position

Pricing details remain unclear, but if the leaks hold, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold could position itself as a direct competitor to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7, offering not only cutting-edge hardware but also durability, extended software support, and deeper AI integration.
