A newly surfaced Geekbench listing has shed light on Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab S11, confirming key hardware details and offering an early glimpse into its performance.

    Highlights

    • Dimensity 9400+ Confirmed: Geekbench listing reveals Tab S11 uses MediaTek’s high-end chipset with a Cortex-X925 core at 3.73GHz.
    • Up to 12–16GB RAM: Listed model features 12GB RAM, with potential variants offering up to 16GB for high-end multitasking.
    • Underwhelming Benchmarks: Early scores (1,420 single-core / 5,312 multi-core) fall short of Tab S10 Ultra and other Dimensity 9400+ devices.
    • Likely Firmware Limitations: Performance gaps likely due to prototype firmware, underclocking, or thermal restrictions.
    • Battery Enhancements: Leaks suggest 8,400 mAh for base model, and up to 12,000 mAh for Tab S11 Ultra—promising better longevity.
    • One UI 8.0 on Android 16: Software stack confirmed to be latest-gen, hinting at deeper integration with Galaxy AI tools.
    • Launch Expected at Galaxy Unpacked: Full reveal likely later this year, alongside official specs, pricing, and performance tuning.

The listing suggests the tablet will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+, continuing the brand’s shift from Qualcomm to MediaTek in its flagship tablets.

Dimensity 9400+ and Up to 12GB RAM

The device listed under model number SM-X736B appears to run on the Dimensity 9400+ chipset. This SoC features a tri-cluster CPU configuration,

    • One Cortex-X925 core clocked at 3.73 GHz
    • Three performance cores at 3.3 GHz
    • Four efficiency cores at 2.4 GHz

The chipset is accompanied by the Immortalis G925 GPU and at least 12GB of RAM, with some sources suggesting prototype variants may include up to 16GB.

    Benchmark Scores

Despite the upgraded silicon, benchmark scores reveal a surprising result. The device scored:

    • Single-core: approximately 1,420
    • Multi-core: approximately 5,312

These figures fall short compared to the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, which scored around 2,115 (single-core) and 7,058 (multi-core), and also trail behind other Dimensity 9400+ devices seen in recent tests.

This discrepancy is likely due to early-stage firmware, underclocked settings, or aggressive thermal/power management typically found in prototype hardware. It’s important to note that such preliminary scores may not represent the performance of the final retail model.

    Software and Battery Upgrades

The Geekbench listing confirms the Galaxy Tab S11 is running Android 16 with One UI 8.0, offering the latest in Samsung’s software experience.

Battery specifications have also surfaced through leaks,

    • The standard Tab S11 may include a battery around 8,400 mAh
    • The Tab S11 Ultra is expected to feature a battery between 11,700 and 12,000 mAh, an upgrade over the 11,200 mAh unit in the S10 Ultra

    Design and Ecosystem Focus

Early reports indicate that the design of the S11 series will remain largely consistent with its predecessor. However, the larger emphasis seems to be on performance refinement and deeper integration with Samsung’s Galaxy AI ecosystem.

Users can expect improvements in AI-powered features such as predictive typing, smart multitasking, and content summarization tools.

The Galaxy Tab S11 series is expected to be formally unveiled at Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event later this year. More details regarding display upgrades, pricing, and official release timelines are likely to emerge in the coming weeks.
